Good morning me and group of friends are travelling to Paris for the rugby World Cup and are looking to booking hotels. We are wanting to be close to the fans zones but can’t seem to find where they will located. If possible could please let me know where these will be located.

Unfortunately, the specific locations for the fan zones have not been disclosed yet. Rest assured, as soon as the information becomes available, we will promptly publish a comprehensive list on our website.

In the meantime, we can provide some insight based on past events. Based on our historical data, fan zones have traditionally been organized in the following locations:

Paris: Champs de Mars (Behind the Eiffel Tower)
Lille: Esplanade François Mitterrand
Lyon: Place Bellecour
Saint Etienne: Parc François Mitterrand
Bordeaux: Place des Quinconces
Toulouse: Allée Jules Guesde
Marseille: Prado Beach
Nice: Place Masséna
Nantes: Cours Saint-Pierre

We think also there will be one near Stade de France in the suburbs of Paris at Saint Denis: Parc de la Légion d’honneur

Hi there, I remember being at a fan zone in Cardiff in 2015 after the Ireland v France match which I had a ticket for and had just attended. I can’t remember if you need a ticket to access the fan zones or can anyone enter?

  Hi there, for the rugby world cup 2023 in France, the fan zones are open to everyone who wants to join the celebration of rugby. You don’t need a ticket to access the fan zones, but they have a limited capacity and will operate on a first come, first served basis. So make sure you arrive early to secure your spot and have fun!

I would like to know if Marseille will have a fan zone? We will be in Marseille for the first weekend and would like to watch the opening game in a fan zone.

  Marseille will definitely have a fan zone. The location has not been officially announced yet, but traditionally, fan zones in Marseille were set up at Plage du Prado.

A few of us travelling around France during the RWC and wondered if towns and cities other than the hosts will have fan zones or big screens? Looking to get a vague itinerary for camping.

  Many cities will have fan zones and many bars will show the matches outdoors if the weather permits. However, keep in mind that the best atmosphere will probably be in the west of France, from south to north (from Biarritz to Brittany), or in Paris. We will soon post some ideas of itineraries that might inspire you.

Do you know if dogs are allowed in the fan zones? we are travelling France for 6 weeks with our dog, don’t want to leave her in the van while we are watching the rugby.

  Hi Robert, Unfortunately the fanzone details for Lyon are not confirmed yet. Usually Fan zones in Lyon are held at Place Bellecour (in the heart of Lyon) but there are also talks about organizing a fanzone in Stade Gerland (Old soccer stadium transformed to a rugby stadium). Once the fanzone is confirmed we will have a dedicated post. All fanzones will be free of charge

Hi there. We have a group of us coming to Marseille for the first weekend of the World Cup. We will be staying in Bandol for the weekend. Are you able to recommend somewhere for us to watch the opening game France vs New Zealand near Bandol? Ideally a sports bar or something similar. Thank you
