The latest venture of entrepreneur and restaurateur Guillaume Benard comes in the name of Vesper Paris ! Expanding on the success of Fitzgerald and Abstinence, in the 7th arrondissement (just beside the Eiffel Tower), this establishment will surely be another feather in his cap.
The FitzGroup held an invite only soft opening for Vesper which seemed to gather all of the ‘’affluent millennials’’ from the left bank! That aside and the fact that the wait staff had some issues (and wine spillages!) the kitchen did not! Operating smoothly, under the control of Chef Lucas Felzine, the fusion Asian-Peruvian inspired menu did not disappoint.
The small plates and dishes are all intended for sharing and the selection is both generous and exciting. We enjoyed delicious duck gyoza, crab tempura, braised chicken antichuchos and sumiyaki waygu beef. Great variety and all distinct and full of flavor. Following this we had an inventive chocolate and avocado millefeuille! All washed down with signature cocktails, an extensive wine list and enjoyed in a tastefully decorated and expansive space.
We recommend you give it a chance… but wait until the hype has died down, the crowd settles and the teething problems are resolved!
